HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 715, Ordinance Number 71-7-514715 V ORDINANCE NO. 71-7-514 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EMULSIFIED ASPHALT COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF THE CITY'S REQUIREMENT FOR ASPHALT FOR THE YEAR 1971 TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Emulsified Asphalt Company dated July 2, 1971, for sale to the city of the City's 1971 requirement of asphalt (either liquid or emulsified, or both) to be used in street construction and repair work, said bid being in words and figures as follows: "The following is our bid on Emulsified Asphalt RS -2 and AE -200 for the year of 1971. "Price per gallon delivered by transport truck is $0.1550. "If successful, we will install and furnish a 10,000 gallon, or larger storage tank. "we guarantee that there will be no increase in price on this material during the year 1971, and if there is a reduction in the market price of emulsified asphalt, we will reduce our price to the City of Paducah. "If successful, we will post a performance bond in the amount of $2500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. "All material will meet Kentucky Highway specifications." Said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing such bids, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on June 22, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a contract with Emulsified Asphalt Company for the Purchase of the property as set forth in Section 1 above, and according to the terms and conditions of said bid and said resolution. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final Passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter. _s 2c i Mayor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners July 13, 1971 Passed by the Board of Commissioners July 27, 1971 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, July 27, 1971.
