HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 674, Ordinance Number 71-6-490674 ORDINANCE NO. 71-6-490 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CAN-TEX INDUSTRIES FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF SEWER PIPE AND ACCESSORIES FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Can -Tex Industries for sale to the City of sewer pipe and accessories to be used in the construction of sewers, said bid having the specifications as set out in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 25, 1971 authorizing bids and as contained in the bid of Can -Tex Industries dated May 28, 1971, said bid being in words and figures as follows: 3365 feet 8" Vitrified Clay Sewer Pipe $1.10 per foot 1850 feet 6" Vitrified Clay Sewer Pipe .76 per foot 120 ea. 8 x 6 Wyes 7.70 each 108 ea. 6" 300 Curves 4.56 each 3 ea. 8" Stoppers 2.20 each 133 ea. 6" Stoppers 1.52 each 4 ea. 6" Clay Spigot to 6" Clay Spigot Can -Tex Adapters 6.00 each The above prices are f.o.b. the job site via truck and the terms offered include 2% ten days; 30 days net. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Can -Tex Industries for the purchase of the property set out in Section 1 above, and according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
