ORDINANCE NO. 71-6-482
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOE C. MARSHALL TO PURCHASE
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN TWO LOTS ON GARFIELD AVENUE
FOR THE SUM OF $225.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Joe C. Marshall in the amount
of $225.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the
following described property in said City, be accepted, said property
being described as follows:
Lot 1 in Block 3 and Lot 12 in Block 2 in Quarles
Addition, a plat of which is of record in Plat Book
A, page 107 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's
office. Lot 1 in Block 3 being situated at the south-
east corner of Garfield Avenue and Fir Street and Lot 12 in
Block 2 being on the west side of Garfield Avenue between
Quarles Avenue and Fir Street, and both being a part of
the same land conveyed to the City of Paducah by deed
dated March 9, 1942 and of record in Commissioner's Deed
Book 11, page 137 in the aforesaid Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $225.00 to the City
Treasurer, the mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to Joe C. Marshall all the right, title and interest of the
City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and that said deed
of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to
title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be
shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordin ance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
