FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF AN FM TWO-WAY REPEATER SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky has found the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. to be in complete compliance with the resolution authorizing bids and the specifications therefor, and WHEREAS, most communication systems now used by the City of Paducah are Motorola Systems, and WHEREAS, Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. has been found to be a responsible bidder and capable of providing good maintenance service, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for the sale to the City of an FM Two-way Repeater System to be installed within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, said bid being in the net amount of $4,950.00 including all equipment, installation, taxes and other costs with delivery to be made within eight to ten weeks from receipt of the order, and the City of Paducah shall also accept the bid for the maintenance and service contract on a month to month basis at a monthly cost of $55.05, said bid having the specifications as set out in the resolution dated May 11, 1971, adopted by the Board of Commissioners authorizing bids, and as contained in the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. dated May 20, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City Manager, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for the purchase of the property and service contract as set out in Section 1 above according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
