FOR PROVIDING A CHANGE OVER AND CONVERSION OF F. M. RADIO EQUIPMENT IN THE 150-174 MHz BAND NOW OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR FUTURE USE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICE AND PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for change over and conversion of F.M. radio equipment in the 150-174 MHz band now owned by the City of Paducah Police Department for future use in the Public Works Depart- ment, said bid being in the net amount of $1,680.00 including change over equipment, installation and taxes, where applicable, with completion to be within sixty days from the date of contract, said bid having the specifications as set out in the resolution dated May 11, 1971, adopted by the Board of Commissioners authorizing bids, and as contained in the bid of Motorola Communications. & Electronics, Inc. dated May 20, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized. to execute a contract with Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for such service and purchase as is set out in Section 1 above according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon .its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force immediately thereafter.
