HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 602, Ordinance Number 71-5-469602 ORDINANCE NO. 71-5-469 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE PADUCAH WATER WORKS FOR COLLECTION OF SEWER AND REFUSE CHARGES WHEREAS, the Paducah Water Works has heretofore collected sewer and refuse charges for the City of Paducah and has charged a flat monthly sum for such service, and WHEREAS, the actual cost for billing varies from time to time but generally approximates five percent (5%), and WHEREAS, the Paducah Water Works has proposed to enter into a contract with the City of Paducah to continue such collections on a basis of five percent (5%) of monies collected, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a contract between the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the Paducah Water Works wherein the said Water Works will provide a collection service for all sewer and refuse charges levied by the City of Paducah and wherein the City of Paducah will pay to the Water Works a sum equal to five percent (5%) of all monies so collected.
