ORDINANCE NO. 71-5-461
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF !'MARRY MATHENY TO PURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 15 IN BLOCK 5 OF R. G. TERRELL'S
WOODLAWN SUBDIVISION FOR THE SUM OF $200.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Harry Matheny in the amount of
$200.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following
described land in said city, be accepted, said land being described
as follows:
Lot 15 in Block 5 in R. G. Terrell's
Woodlawn Subdivision, located at the south-
east corner of Cole Street and Oak Street
and as shown on page 33 of Block Map Book 3
in the office of the City Engineer.
Being the same land (Annie Chapman property)
conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C.
LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed dated May 6,
1971, and of record in Deed Book page
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $200.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to Harry Matheny all right, title and interest of the City
in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of
conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to
title, shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown
by an accurate survey, and shall be subject to the 1971 city taxes which
are to be paid by the purchaser.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
