HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 539, No Resolution Number539 i-` Tlra Size 3:e�xeu Wesr Coast type rear view mirrors Front Tow hooks Safety belts Dump bed 4 yds 7' x 9' with cab Protector A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TWO (2) NEW TWO -TON DUMP TRUCKS WITH CAB AND CHASSIS FOR USE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY 10F PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: ` . SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to advertise for bids for two (2) new two -ton dump trucks with' cab and chassis for use in the Public Works Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, said trucks having the following minimum specifications: Engine 361 (cu. in) H. D. V8 Wheel base 144" Heavy duty frame reinforcements Front Axle forged steel I beam center section. Capacity lbs. 5,500 H. D. front shock absorbers Rear Axle (Capacity Lbd) 17,500 G. V. W. rating Lbs. 24,000 G. C. W. rating 32,000 Springs - rear capacity lbs. 9,300 with overloads. Auxiliaries 2,250 Springs - front capacity lbs. 3,000 Steering std. worm & Roller type Clutch Assy 13" Transmission (direct) 5 speed Brakes H.D. Vac. booster HYD. Parking brake, ibternal shoe type 12 volt electrical system H. D. Battery 66 Plates (70 Amp. Hr.) Alternator 42 amp 630 Watts Turn signals 4 way flasher type Wheels rim size b�" Tlra Size 3:e�xeu Wesr Coast type rear view mirrors Front Tow hooks Safety belts Dump bed 4 yds 7' x 9' with cab Protector 540 Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for sale to the City of the foregoing property, including any and all applicable taxes, and each bidder shall state the approximate amount of time required for delivery. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by notice posted up at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant to FRS Chapter 424. No bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which the resolution is adopted, and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to refuse and reject any and all bids. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
