HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 533, Ordinance Number 71-4-456533 ORDINANCE NO. 71-4-456 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ROCKWELL MANUFACTURING COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF APPROXIMATELY 160 MANUALLY OPERATED PARKING METERS, HEADS AND COIN BOXES, AND YOKES AS APPLICABLE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Rockwell Manufacturing Company for the sale to the City of approximately 160 manually operated parking meters, heads and coin boxes, and yokes as applicable, which bid complies with the specifications as set out in a resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on March 16, 1971 authorizing such bids, and as contained in the bid of Rockwell Manufacturing Company dated April 2, 1971, and which bid includes the following item and unit prices: 160 - More or less, Rockwell Model "S" Manual Parking Meters complete with Open Top Coin Box, and necessary Rockwell Aluminum Twin Mounting Adapters, and any meters traded in by the City. @ $52.16 each One Spare Rockwell Manual Parking Meter Mechanism for each 50 meters ordered No Charge One spare Parts Kit for each 50 meters ordered No Charge 40 - More or less, Optional Twin Mounting Adapters @ $ 3.50 Plus 5% Kentucky State Sales Tax The terms of payment shall be for cash, Net 60 days, and the above quoted prices shall remain firm until December 31, 1971. Shipping date shall be within thirty (30) days after receipt of a purchase order or signed contract and complete specifications. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Rockwell Manufacturing Company for the purchase of the equipment set out in Section 1 above, and according to the resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon 534 its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
