HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 522, Ordinance Number 71-4-4537LL ORDINANCE NO. 71-4-453 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SANCO CORPORATION FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1971 TRUCK WITH COMPACTOR AND FOR STATIONARY CONTAINERS FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION I. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Sanco Corporation in the amount of $24,625.00 for the sale to the City of one (1) 1971 Ford truck with 25 cubic yard dempster dumpmaster compactor for use in the Refuse Division of the Public works Depart- ment of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which bid complies with the specifications as set out in a resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on March 26, 1971 authorizing such bids, and as contained in the bid of Sanco Corporation dated April 6, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Sanco Corporation in the amount of $38,350.00 for the sale to the City of fifty (50) 8 -cubic yard containers and fifty (50) 6 -cubic yard containers for use in the Refuse Division of the Public Works Department of the City of Paducah, which bid complies with the specifications set out in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on March 26, 1971 authorizing such bids and as con- tained in the bid of Sanco Corporation dated April 6, 1971. SECTION 3. That any contract entered into pursuant to this ordinance provide for payment in cash, or for payment in 36 monthly installments on either or both purchases with no payment being due on installment payments for 90 days after delivery of the equipment to the City, for a maximum interest rate of 6%, and for no prepayment penalties. The maximum monthly installment authorized for the truck and compactor shall be $749.14, and the maximum monthly installment authorized for the containers shall be $1,166.68. SECTION 4. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Sanco Corporation for the purchase of the equipment set out in Sections 1 and 2 above according to the resolution and said bid, and as provided in Section 3 of this ordinance. 523 SECTION 5. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter. i Mayor Protem' 4.
