ORDINANCE NO. 71-3-448
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REZONING
PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PARK AVENUE EAST OF METCALF LANE IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FROM R-2 AND B-1 TO B-3 GENERAL BUSINESS
ZONE", BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO
WHEREAS, on March 9, 1971, the Board of Commissioners adopted an
ordinance bearing the title quoted above, but failed to include a
specific portion of its findings of fact relating to the change of
conditions in the area sought to be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to include such a finding as a part
of its official minutes and records and the ordinance authorizing the
map change,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REZONING
PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PARK AVENUE EAST OF METCALF LANE IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FROM R-2 AND B-1 TO B-3 GENERAL BUSINESS
ZONE', which ordinance was adopted on March 9, 1971, be, and the same
is hereby amended and reordained by adding the following section thereto:
"SECTION 1-A. That the Board of Commissioners finds that there
have been major changes of an economic, physical or social nature within
the area involved which were not anticipated in the community's com-
prehensive plan and which have substantially altered the basic character
of such area as described in Section 1 of this ordinance."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and retroactive to March 9, 1971.
