HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 494, Ordinance Number 71-3-445494, ORDINANCE NO. 71-3-445 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY CLAY STREET AND PARK AVENUE AND NORTH 21ST AND NORTH 23RD STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of a portion of an.alley located in the block bounded by Park Avenue, Clay Street, North 21st Street and North 23rd Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point where the south line of a 15 foot alley intersects with the west line of north 21st Street which point is 150 feet north measured along the west line of 21st Street from the northwest corner of the intersection of north 21st Street and Clay Street, thence in a westerly direction parallel with Clay Street and 150 feet there- from a distance of 215 feet to a point in the south line of said 15 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction a distance of 15 feet more or less to the north line of said alley; thence at right angles in an easterly direction along the north line of said alley 215 feet to the west line of north 21st Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along the west line of north 21st Street a distance of 15 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the portion of the alley described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
