A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
AN EXTENSION RIDER TO THE BEAUTIFICATION LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND THE ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD COMPANY FOR THE
RIVERFRONT PROPERTY ADJACENT TO BARKLEY PARK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City,
an extension rider continuing the lease agreement between the
Illinois Central Railroad Company and the City of Paducah dated May 6.
1966, for an additional five year period beginning May 1, 1971 and
ending April 30, 1976. Said lease as heretofore entered into is for
the purpose of permitting the City of Paducah to beautify the railroad
property between the City property at Barkley Park and the Ohio River,
which lease agreement was received and filed with the Minutes of the
meeting of the Board of Commissioners on August 30, 1966.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
