HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 425, Ordinance Number 71-1-423425 ORDINANCE NO. 71-1-423 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUN OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FROM JANUARY 1, 1971 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 197, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with Sun Oil Company for the purchase of the following supplies for use by the City from January 1, 1971 to December 31, 1971: Regular gasoline, octane rating 94.8, tank wagon price per gallon $0.275, discount $0.0696 per gallon. Ethyl gasoline, octane rating 100.3,'tank wagon price per gallon $0.310, discount $0.0846 per gallon. MOTOR OIL Best premium grade, detergent H -D (not to be a fleet oil) $0.68 per gallon First Grade, detergent H -D $0.63 per gallon First Grade, non -detergent $0.57 per gallon Diesel, high detergent $0..87 per gallon Hydraulic oil $0.62 per gallon Motor oil in quarts, in gallon cases Best premift grade, detergent H -D $0.97 per gallon First Grade, detergent H -D $0.97 per gallon First Grade, non -detergent $0.82 per gallon Diesel high detergent $1.17 per gallon Diesel Fuel No. 2, tank wagon price per gallon $0.173, discount $0.0409 per gallon Chassis Lubricant, $0.22 per pound, discount $0.03 per pound Gear Lube Oil, $0.155 per pound, discount $0.0225 per pound Kerosene, $0.183 per gallon, discount $0.0409 per gallon Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon cans $1.50 per gallon, discount $0.30 per gallon. 426 The bidder shall furnish and install four electrically operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and required concrete islands, and also furnish one electrically operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank. The bidder shall guarantee the above quoted prices against any advance in the market and also guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in event of a decrease in price of any of the items bid on. The bidder further agrees to give 24-hour emergency tank truck service to any point in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the 15th day of the month following purchase with terms of net 30 days. The City shall not be required to make a deposit on any drums, but all drums will be returned by the City when empty. SECTION 2.
