HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 398, Ordinance Number 70-12-41539� ORDINANCE NO. 70-12-415 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 17-115.1 "VENDING MACHINES" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS by Section 14 of an ordinance passed by the Board of Vommissioners on November 10, 1970, there was created a new section for Chapter 17 "Licenses" of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, to -wit, Section 17-115.1 "Vending Machines" and WHEREAS said Section purported to place an annual license tax of $10.00 per machine or device costing ten cents ($0.10) or more to operate, which fee or tax would be in lieu of all other occupational license taxes, and WHEREAS after due consideration the Board of Commissioners finds that the imposition of such a method of taxation would impose an undue hardship on some businesses in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and would constitute an unfair taxation upon their earnings, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 17-115.1 "Vending Machines" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which section was created by Section 14 of Ordinance No. 70-11-408 adopted November 10, 1970, be, and the same is hereby, repealed. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
