HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 39, Ordinance Number 70-2-288ORDINANCE NO. 70-2-288 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF PADUCAH WATERWORKS, TO PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute a deed by and between the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the use and benefit of Paducah water Works, of Paducah, Kentucky, to the Peoples First National Bank & Trust Company of Paducah, Kentucky, for a consideration of $25,000.00 for a certain lot or parcel of land lying and being in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Being twenty-five (25) feet, two (2) inches of ground in Block Fourteen (14), Town "A" of Paducah, Kentucky, on the east side of Fourth Street, beginning at a point sixty-eight (68) feet, two (2) inches from the corner of Court Street; thence at right angles toward Third Street one hundred three (103) feet, three (3) inches to an alley; thence at right angles with the line of said alley toward Court Street twenty-five (25) feet, two (2) inches; thence at right angles one hundred three (103) feet, three (3) inches to Fourth Street; thence at right angles and toward Broadway Street twenty- five (25) feet two (2) inches to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. The consideration of $25,000.00 shall be for the use and benefit of the Paducah Water Works, and the executed deed shall be delivered to the Paducah Water Works for delivery to Peoples First National Bank & Trust Company upon receipt of the full amount of said consideration. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
