FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF TWO (2) GARWOOD 20 CUBIC YARD REFUSE COMPACTION UNITS FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Manning Equipment, Inc. for the sale to the City of two (2) rear loading refuse compaction units, being two (2) Garwood 20 cubic yard Model 800 units for the gross amount of $18,000.00, less trade-in of two (2) 1960 Ford/Garwood; one (1) 1961 Ford/Garwood and one (1) 1962 Ford/Garwood units for the price of $5,000.00, making a net bid of $13,000.00, said bid having the specifications as set out in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 18, 1970 authorizing bids and as contained in the bid of Manning Equipment, Inc. dated October 5, 1970. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Manning Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of said property as set out in Section 1 above and as contained in said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
