HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 366, Ordinance Number 70-11-406366 / ORDINANCE NO. 70-11-406 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CURTIS WILKERSON TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOTS 15 AND 17 IN BLOCK 11 IN O'BRYAN'S ADDITION, ON SEITZ STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $200.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Curtis Wilkerson in the amount of $200.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following described land in said city be accepted, said land being described as follows: Being Lots 15 and 17 in Block 11 in O'Bryan's Addition, each lot fronting 40 feet on the north side of Seitz Street and as shown on page 58 of Block Map Book 4 in the office of the City Engineer. Said Lot 15 (C. C. Ross property) having been conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed dated November 4, 1970, and of record in Deed Book 523, page 554 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, and said Lot 17 (George W. Edwards and wife, Sarah E. Edwards, property) having been conveyed to said City by Ben C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed dated November 4, 1970, and of record in Deed Book 523, page 558 in said Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $200.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Curtis Wilkerson all right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title, shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey, and shall be subject to 1970 city taxes which are to be paid by said purchaser SECTION 3.
