HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 347, Ordinance Number 70-10-393041 ORDINANCE NO. 70-10-393 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN LITTLETON, INC. AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SITE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE OAKLAWN CODE ENFORCEMENT AREA OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WHICH CONTRACT WAS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS DATED NNE 24, 1969 WHEREAS the site improvement construction work in the Oaklawn Code Enforcement Area of Paducah, Kentucky, has required several increases and decreases in the work to be performed, and WHEREAS the said increases and decreases have been compiled in change order No. 5 for project Ky E-1 for a total increase of $21,090.00 and a total decrease of $7,038.91 for a net increase in contract price of $14,051.09 of which the City of Paducah would be required to pay one-fourth or $3,512.77 and the United States of America Department of Housing and Urban Development would be required to pay the re- mainder, and WHEREAS the Department of Houring and Urban Development has concurred in the proposed change order No. 5. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a change order in the contract for construction of site improvements in the Oaklawn Code Enforcement Area of Paducah, Kentucky, between Littleton, Inc. and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in the net amount of $14,051.09 of which the City of Paducah will be required to pay $3,512.77, be, and the same is hereby, authorized by this Board. SECTION 2. The Executive Director of the Oaklawn Neighborhood Improvement Project is hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to effect such change order on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and to properly account for same in the sharing of costs between the City of Paducah and the United States of America Department of Housing and Urban Development. SECTION 3. An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one (1) 347 348 week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
