HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 342, Ordinance Number 70-10-391342 / ORDINANCE NO. 70-10-391 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CAN-TEX INDUSTRIES FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF SEWER PIPE AND ACCESSORIES FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Can -Tex industries for the -'sale to the City of Sewer Pipe and accessories for use in the construction of sewers, said bid having the specifications as set out in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 18, 1970, authorizing bids and as contained in the bid of Can -Tex Industries dated September 28, 1970, said bid being in words and figures as follows: APPROX. 640 ft. 12" Vitrified Clay Sewer Pipe $2.04 per ft. 826 ft. 10" 1680 £t. 81. 1.57 per ft. 1500 ft. 6" " 1.00 per ft. .68 per ft. 12" Wyes, Tees, Curves & Ells 12.24 ea. 10" 9.42 ea. 811 6.00 ea. 6" 4.08 ea. 6" Stoppers 1.36 ea. Allow 3 days for delivery. The above prices are F.O.B. the job site Via Truck, and the terms offered include 2% 10 days; 30 days net. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be; and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Can -Tex Industries for the purchase of the property set out in Section 1 above, and according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3.
