HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 302, No Ordinance Number302 / AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN BROADWAY, NAHM STREET AND P & I RAILROAD, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE - 1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on September 2, 1970, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN BROADWAY, NAHM STREET AND P & I RAILROAD", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from B-1 Neighborhood Business Zone to B-3 General Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Broadway with the north line of the P & I Railroad right-of-wau; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Broadway a distance of 258 feet, more or less to its point of intersection with the center line of Nahm Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of Nahm Street a distance of 812.68 feet to its point of intersection with the center line of Washington Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of Washington Street a distance of 35 feet, more or less to its point of intersection with the north line of the P & I Railroad right-of-way; thence in a northwesterly direction along and with the north line of the P & I Railroad right-of-way a distance of 842.82 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or Provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
