ORDINANCE NO. 70-8-367
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY CAIRO ROAD,
NORTH 13TH STREET, BELTLINE HIGHWAY AND ATKINS AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby
authorize the closing of an alley located in the block bounded by Cairo
Road, North 13th Street, Beltline Highway and Atkins Avenue in the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west line of Atkins Avenue
and the south line of the alley, said point being 157.5
feet in a northerly direction from the intersecting point
of the west line of Atkins Avenue and the north line
of North 13th Street; thence at a left deflection angle
of 90 degrees 21 minutes to the west line of Atkins Avenue
and with the south line of said alley 314.0 feet to the
east line of Thompson Avenue; thence at a right deflection
angle of 96 degrees 39 minutes to the south line of said
alley 15.10 feet with the east line of Thompson Avenue
to the north line of said alley; thence at a right
deflection angle of 83 degrees 21 minutes to the east line
of Thompson Avenue and with the north line of said alley
312.25 feet to the west line of Atkins Avenue; thence at a
right deflection angle of 90 degrees 21 minutes to the
north line of said alley and with the west line of Atkins
Avenue 15.0 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute
pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action
in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of a
portion of the alley described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
