HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 242, Ordinance Number 70-7-363242/ ORDINANCE NO. 70-7-363 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HOMER BARNES AND WIFE, ANNIE BARNES, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST Or THE CITY IN CERTAIN PROPERTY ON NORTH 11TH STREET FOR THE SUM OF $250.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Homer Barnes and wife, Annie Barnes, in the amount of $250.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in certain property therein, be accepted, said property being described as follows: Being Lot 12 and part of Lot 14 in C. E. Jennings Block 63 of Harris, Flournoy, Trimble and Norton's Addition, a plat of which is recorded in Deed Book 40, page 463 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, fronting 45 feet on North 11th Street and running back 160 feet to a 20 foot alley. Being the same land conveyed to City of Paducah by Dalton A. Woodall, Master Commissioner, by deed dated October 11th, 1967 and of record in Deed Book 491, page 679 in said Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $250.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Homer Barnes and wife, Annie Barnes, all right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. Mayor Protem d" H. E.
