HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 221, Ordinance Number 70-7-35522L ORDINANCE NO. 70-7-355 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY AT 5TH AND JONES STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on July 1, 1970, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY AT 5TH AND JONES STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the city of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to B-4 Commercial Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of South 5th Street with the center line of Jones Street; thence westerly along and with the center line of Jones Street a distance of 203.25 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of Jones Street with the center line of a 25 foot alley lying between South 5th Street and South 6th Street; thence in a northerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 70 feet.tp the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the north property line of Douglas McGary, if extended; thence in an easterly direction, along and with the north property line of Douglas McGary, a distance of 203.25 feet to the center line of South 5th Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of South 5th Street a distance of 70 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
