HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 214, Ordinance Number 70-6-350214V/ ORDINANCE NO. 70-6-350 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOHNSTON MACHINERY COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF TWO (2) REFUSE PACKERS AND TRUCKS FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DIVISION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD .OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Johnston Machinery Company in the amount of $23,177.32 for sale to the City of two (2) refuse packers and trucks for use in the refuse division of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, said bid being for 18 cubic yard Leach Packmasters mounted on Ford Chassis, and said bid having the specifications as set out in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 28, 1970 authorizing said bids, and as contained in the bid of Johnston Machinery Company dated June 15, 1970. The bid accepted shall be without trade-in. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Johnston Machinery Company for the purchase of the property as set out in Section 1 above according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
