ORDINANCE NO. 70-6-343
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED
BY 11TH STREET, JACKSON STREET, 12TH STREET AND ADAMS STREET IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
SECTION 1: That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby
authorize the closing of an alley located in the block bounded by
11th Street, Jackson Street, 12th Street and Adams Street in the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east right-of-way line of
South 12th Street 160.0 feet north of the northeast corner
of the intersection of 12th and Jackson Streets; thence
in a northerly direction and along the east line of South
12th Street 16 feet; thence at a right angle and in an
easterly direction 164.5 feet; thence at a right angle
and in a southerly direction 16.0 feet; thence at a right
angle and in a westerly direction 164.5 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to
institute an action in the McCracken Circuit Court pursuant to
Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes for a judgment
ordering the closing of the alley or portion thereof described in
Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
