HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 189, Ordinance Number 70-6-335V14 0 ORDINANCE NO. 70-6-335 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 26, AND SECTIONS 26-47, 26-48, 26-49 AND 26-50 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Article IV Probation Officer Account, and Section 26-47 Establishment; source of revenue; purpose, Section 26-48 Amount of appropriations; authorized expenditures, Section 26-49 when appropriations made; accounting period, and Section 26-50 Removal to general fund if office terminated, of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended so that said Article and Sections of Chapter 26 as amended shall read as follows: "ARTICLE IV. Court Assistant Account "Sec. 26-47. Establishment; source of revenue; purpose. The city treasurer is hereby directed to establish a special account to be known as the 'Court Assistant Account' from revenue received from the police court from fines and forfeitures for the purpose of paying salaries and expenses of the court assistant or assistants. "Sec. 26-48. Amount of appropriations; authorized expenditures. The amount to be appropriated to the Court Assistant Account each month shall be six hundred dollars ($600.00), and the city treasurer is authorized to pay from the account a court assistant's salary to be fixed by the police court, and such expenses as are verified to the director by voucher from the court, and the maximum expenditure for all salaries and expenses shall not exceed the amount on hand in the account at any time, nor shall the total amount exceed the sum of $7,200.00 per year. "Sec. 26-49. when appropriations made; accounting period. Appropriations for the Court Assistant Account shall be made at the beginning of each month, and the period of accounting for the account shall be July 1 to June 30 of the following year. "Sec. 26-50. Removal to general fund if office terminated. In the event the court assistant office and any expenditures for such court assistance are terminated by the police court, any 189/ j 190 amount then on hand in the Court Assistant Account that is not obligated for expenses already incurred by or for a court assistant shall be removed from the special account to the general fund." SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions heretofore adopted in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
