ORDINANCE NO. 70-1-285
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF TILFORD PLUMBING & HEATING, INC.
FOR CONSTRUCTING A GRAVITY SEWER CROSSING UNDER THE LONE OAK ROAD AT
POPLAR STREET AND UNDER ST. LOUIS AVENUE AT JULIA STREET, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION I. That the bid of Tilford Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
dated January 2, 1970, for constructing a gravity sewer crossing under
the Lone Oak Road at Poplar Street and under St. Louis Avenue at Julia
Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be accepted at the bid price
of $2,351.30 for the crossing at Lone Oak Road and $1,786.04 for the
crossing at Julia Street for a total contract price of $4,137.34, said
bid having the terms, conditions and specifications as set out in the
Resolution requesting bids adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
December 19, 1969.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract with Tilford Plumbing & Heating, Inc. for said
construction as set out in Section 1 hereof, such contract to contain
the provisions, terms, conditions and specifications as set forth in the
bid and in said resolution and in accordance with the plans to be
prepared by the Engineering Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
