ORDINANCE NO. 70-4-317
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-49 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-49 of the Code of Ordinances City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as
amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"Sec. 2-49. City Manager - Generally.
The City Manager shall receive a salary for his services at the
rate of eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000.00) per year. Such salary
shall be paid at the times other city salaries are paid, and shall be
exclusive of the compensation paid to him as a member of the electric
plant board of the city."
SECTION 2. This ordinance amends Section 1 of an ordinance
entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION WHICH THE
CITY MANAGER SHALL RECEIVE AND TRANSFERRING SUFFICIENT FUNDS FROM THE
CONTINGENT FUND TO THE APPROPRIATION FOR CITY MANAGER'S SALARY TO PAY
THE SALARY.SO PROVIDED", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on July 22, 1952, and last amended December 13, 1966.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after May 1, 1970.
