HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1225, Ordinance Number 72-12-7271225 ORDINANCE NO. 72-12-727 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY EXTENDING FROM THE EAST LINE OF 19TH STREET AND SOUTH OF KENTUCKY AVENUE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of an alley in said City described as follows: A 16 foot alley extending eastwardly from the east line of 19th Street, and beginning at a point on the east line of 19th Street 165.25 feet south of Kentucky Avenue; thence eastwardly and parallel with Kentucky Avenue and with the line of Owen and Hollis 190 feet, more or less, to another alley; thence southwardly with the line of the last mentioned alley 20 feet, more or less, to a point in the line of Jones, which point is 181.25 feet south of Kentucky Avenue; thence westwardly with the line of Jones and parallel with Kentucky Avenue 176 feet, more or less, to a point on the east line of 19th Street; thence northwardly with the east line of 19th Street 16 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
