HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 122, Ordinance Number 70-4-316122/ ORDINANCE NO. 70-4-316 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF TWO ALLEYS IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY BRIDGE STREET, AHYES STREET AND ASHCRAFT STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of a portion of two alleys located in the block bounded by Bridge Street, Hayes Avenue and Ashcraft Avenue in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows: Alley No. 1 Beginning at a point on the south line of Hayes Street, the centerline of a 16 foot alley being 138 feet east of the S.E. corner of the intersection of Bridge and Hayes Street, said alley extends in a southerly direction at a uniform width 253.5 feet until it intersects with the horth line of Ashcraft Street. Alley No. 2 Beginning at a point on the north line of Ashcraft Street, the center line of a 15 foot alley being 148 1/2 feet east of the N. E. corner of the intersection of Bridge and Ashcraft Street, said alley extends at a uniform width across the back boundary lines of Lots 7, 6, 5 and 4 of Block 13 as shown in Plat Book "A", page 140 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, said alley being parallel with Alley No. 1 until it intersects with a point on the south line of Lot 3 of Block 13 as shown in Plat Book "A", page 140 in the aforesaid Clerk's office' thence at right angles said alley extends at a uniform width of 13 feet in an easterly direction, its north line being the south line of said Lot 3, until it intersects with the west line of Alley No. 1. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby authorized and empowered to institute pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alleys or portions thereof described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. co, .
