HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1204, Ordinance Number 72-11-7151204 ORDINANCE NO. 72-11-715 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PETER PIRSCH & SONS COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF 'IWO (2) 1,250 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMPING ENGINES WITH DIESEL ENGINE AND CAB FORWARD OVER ENGINE CHASSIS, FOR USE IN THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, WITH ONE TO BE DELIVERED IN THE YEAR 1973 AND ONE TO BE DELIVERED IN THE YEAR 1974, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Peter Pirsch & Sons Company for the sale to the City of two (2) 1,250 gallon per minute pumping engines with diesel engine and cab forward over chassis, for use in the Paducah Fire Department, one unit to be delivered in the year 1973 and one unit to be delivered in the year 1974, at a per unit price of $49,560.80 in a total net price of $99,121.60, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on September 19, 1972, and as contained in the bid of Peter Pirsch & Sons Company dated October 20, 1972. SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Peter Pirsch & Sons Company for the sale to the City of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
