HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1203, No Resolution Number120 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT AN OFFER OF GRANT FOR PROJECT NO. 04-1-01009 DATED NOVEMBER S, 1972, FOR PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT FACILITIES FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, on February 1, 1972, the Board of Commissioners adopted an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to file an application for a fifty percent Federal grant for extension of sewage collection facilities from the City of Paducah to the Greater Paducah Industrial Development Association Coleman Road Industrial Site, and WHEREAS, by said ordinance the Mayor was further authorized to provide such additional information and furnish such documents as may be required by the Economic Development Administration, and WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration has designated the said application as Project No. 04-1-01009 and has made an offer of grant to the City of Paducah in the sum of $134,000 to extend the City's sewers to the Coleman Road Industrial Park, and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to accept the Offer of Grant, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the Acceptance of the Offer of Grant on behalf of the City of Paducah for a Grant of $134,000, and the City does further accept the terms and conditions of the proposed Contract and Offer of Grant including the Special Conditions and the Standard Terms and Conditions as proposed and presented by the Economic Development Administration. SECTION 2. That a copy of the Offer of Grant, together with Exhibits "A" and "B" shall be filed with the Minutes of the meeting adopting this resolution, and shall be incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3.
