A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF A
PROPOSED CONTRACT FOR AN URBAN BEAUTIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM,
NUMBERED CONTRACT NO. KX B-2 (G), BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
WHEREAS, the United States of America (herein called the
00 ""Government") has tendered to the City of Paducah, Kentucky (herein
called the "Public Body") has proposed a contract for urban beautification
and improvement, under which the Government would make a grant of
federal funds to the Public Body to aid in financing the cost of
certain beautification projects designated Project No. Ky B-2 (G);
and
WHEREAS, the Public Body has given due consideration to said
proposed contract;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the proposed contract for urban beautification
and improvement, designated Contract No. Ky B-2 (G), consisting of
Parts I and II, under and subject to the terms and conditions which
the Government would make a grant of federal funds to the Public Body
to aid in financing the cost of an urban beautification and improvement
program designated Project Ky B-2 (G), situated in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, is hereby in all respects approved.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute said proposed contract in two counterparts on behalf of the
Public Body, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to impress and
attest the official seal of the Public Body on each such counter-
part, and to forward such counterparts to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development for execution on behalf of the Government, together
with such other documents relative to the approval and execution thereof
as well as to this resolution as may be required by the Government.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to file
requisitions, together with necessary supporting documents, with the
Government, from time to time, requesting payment to be made on
account of the grant provided for in the said contract, and to do
any and all other things and acts required to be done or performed in order
to obtain such payments.

SECTION 4. The depository for direct deposit of loan and/or
grant funds under the said contract shall be the Citizens Bank and
Trust Company of Paducah, Kentucky, the Account name shall be "City
of Paducah Urban Beautification Project Account", and the account
number is 01-3433-3, and the authorized signatures shall be those
of the City Treasurer and City Manager.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
