HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1159, Ordinance Number 72-10-700ORDINANCE NO. 72-10-700 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-55(a), SECTION 10-57, AND SECTION 10-61(a) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That subsection (2) of Section 10-55. "Floodwall Department", of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained by striking therefrom that portion that heretofore read as follows: "Floodwall superintendent, head of department $950.00." SECTION 2. Section 1 amends Section 8-D of an ordinance Adopted December 2, 1947, and which was last amended by Section 7 of Ordinance No. 72-4-630, dated April 11, 1972. SECTION 3. That Section 10-57, "Management orf sewage disposal department, interchanging employees in floodwall and sewage disposal departments" of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and re - ordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-57. Management of sewage disposal department, inter- changing employees in floodwall and sewage disposal departments. The sewage disposal department and the floodwall department shall be under the management and control of the director of public services, and the employees of the floodwall department, at his direction, may be assigned to work in the sewage disposal department, and the employees of the sewage disposal department, at his direction, may be assigned to work in the floodwall department, but any of such employees so assigned shall keep and maintain their civil service rights under the department to which they were originally assigned. The foreman in the floodwall department shall be the head of said department, and the chief operator in the sewage disposal department shall be the head of said department, both being for the purpose of direct supervision of the employees and the assigned work to be performed. SECTION 4. Section 3 amends Section 8-D of an ordinance adopted December 2, 1947, which was last amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 69-4-196 which was adopted April 22, 1969. 1160 SECTION 5. That subsection (a) of Section 10-61 "Unassigned Positions" of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-61. Unassigned positions. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions not assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supervision of the city manager, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: Position Base Monthly Salary City Clerk $700.00 Director of Public Services 1,250.00 Secretary to city manager and mayor 550.00 Social worker 417.33 Assistant to Planning Director 543.33 MAINTENANCE Chief of maintenance division 740.00 Base Hourly Rate Meter Maintenance man $3.03 No. 1 Maintenance man 3.23 No. 2 Maintenance man (2 positions) 2.93 Maintenance Helper (2 positions) 2.83 Janitor 2.60 Assistant janitor (2 positions) 2.20 INSPECTIONS Base Monthly Salary Building and electrical inspector 740.00 Assistant to building and electrical inspector 472.33 " SECTION 6. Section 5 amends Section 9 of an ordinance adopted December 2, 1947, which was last amended by.Section 10 of Ordinance No. 72-4-630 adopted April •11, 1972. SECTION 7.
