AN ORDINANCE DESIUNATING PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH BETWEEN 9TH AND 10TH STREETS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF ELIZABETH STREET FOR MINI PARR PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the following described property which was heretofore used by the City for landfill purposes between 9th and 10th Streets on the South side of Elizabeth Street be developed, but without permanent dedication, as a mini park, said tract being more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point where the center line of Elizabeth Street intersects the center line of South 10th Street; thence with the center line of Elizabetj Street North 56 degrees East 385 feet, more or less to the west right-of- way line of South 9th Street, said right-of-way line being 90 feet from and an arc parallel to the center line; thence with said right-of-way line in a southeasterly direction to an H. L. Lockwood north corner; thence south 20 degrees west 578 feet, more or less to a point in the center line of South 10th Street, if extended; thence North 34 degrees West 509 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. The above described tract contains 3.3 acres more or less. SECTION 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed to indicate on the Block Maps the designated use of this property and the Book and Page number of this ordinance as the referenced source. SECTION 3. The Director of Parks, Playground and Recreation is hereby authorized and directed to take responsibility for the clearing, grading, sodding and developing the property as a park and for maintaining the land and equipment as may be provided. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
