HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1153, Ordinance Number 72-9-6971.153 V. - ORDINANCE NO. 72-9-697 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF McKEOWN OFFICE EQUIPMENT FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF TEN (10) PORTABLE TAPE RHCORDERS AND ONE (1) TRANSCRIBER TO BE USED IN THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of McKeown Office Equipment for the sale to the City of ten (10) Lanier Model 1300 portable tape recorders and one (1) Lanier transcriber, together with sixty (60) Lanier tape-paks for use by the Paducah Police Department in the total amount of $2,845.58, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on August 29, 1972, and as contained in the bid of McKeown Office Equipment dated September 7, 1972. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with McKeown Office Equipment for the sale to the City of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
