HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1150, Ordinance Number 72-9-6951150 ORDINANCE NO. 72-9-695 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE BUCKET TRUCK FROM THE PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM FOR THE PRICE OF $3,700.00, CONSISTING OF ONE 1963 FORD F-600 TRUCK WITH HOLAN BUCKET MODEL NO. 41, SERIES 8300 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Paducah Maintenance Department needs an aerial bucket truck for repair of traffic signals and overhead lights, and WHEREAS, the Paducah Power System has offered for sale one (1), 1� Ton truck, a 1963 model Ford F-600 equipped with one (1) Holam bucket Model No. 41, Series 8300, for a price of $3,700.00, and WHEREAS, the Electric Plant Board has determined that said amount is a fair and reasonable price for such equipment, and has authorized the sale of such equipment to the City of Paducah, and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has determined that said price is reasonable for the equipment, and that it is more economical at this time to purchase this unit of used equipment, rather than to request bids for new models of comparable equipment, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept the offer of the Paducah Power System and to purchase from said System, one 1963 Ford F-600 truck with Holan bucket Model No. 41, Series 8300, for a purchase price of $3,700.00. SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
