HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1149, No Resolution Number1149 l___ A RESOLUTION NAMING THE CITY PARK ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF 12TH AND CLAY STREETS THE "WILLIAM H. VOOR PARK" WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has recently acquired from Julia Voor a tract of land on the Northwest corner of the intersection of 12th and C1ay.Streets for park purposes, and WHEREAS, in appreciation for this property the City desires to name the park for the Voor family, and WHEREAS, the said Julia Voor has requested that the park be named for her father-in-law, William H. Voor, from whom she acquired the property. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the city park at the Northwest corner of the intersection of 12th and Clay Streets be, and the same shall here- after be known as, the "William H. Voor Park". SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to procure a suitable plaque or marker to bear the name of the park and to be located upon the park property for identification. SECTION 3.
