HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1136, Ordinance Number 72-8-691ORDINANCE NO. 72-8-691 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF JEFFERSON STREET 100 FEET WEST OF 13TH STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on August 7, 1972, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF JEFFERSON STREET 100 FEET WEST OF 13TH STREET", be adopted as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Medium Density Residential Zone to B-3 General Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Jefferson Street with the east property line of Hough and Wilson, if extended, said point being 112 feet 1; inches west of the intersection of the center line of Jefferson Street with the center line of North 13th Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of Jefferson Street, a distance of 127 feet 14 inches to a point of intersection of the center line of Jefferson Street with the west property line of Hough and Wilson, if extended; thence in a southerly direction along and with the west property line of Hough and Wilson a distance of 181 feet 3 inches to a point; thence in an easterly direction and parallel with the center line of Jefferson Street a distance of 45 feet to a point; thence in a southerly direction a distance of 25 feet to a point, corner to Averdisian; thence in an easterly direction a distance of 82 feet 14 inches to a point, the southwest corner of J. E. Hawkins; thence in a northerly direction along and with the J. E. Hewkins line, a distance of 206 feet 3 inches to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision 1137 hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
