HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1125, Ordinance Number 72-8-6871125 ORDINANCE NO. 72-8-687 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-50 "SAME -EXCEPTIONAL CASES" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PERTAINING TO REFUSE COLLECTIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 27-50 "Same -Same -Exceptional cases" of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 27-50. Same -Exceptional cases. In the event the schedule of charges set forth in section 27-49 is not deemed applicable or suitable due to the atypical nature of the additional service requested, the city manager may designate such a request as an exceptional case and may negotiate an agreement for a special charge for such service, provided that each such agreement negotiated shall be submitted to the board of commissioners for review within thirty (30) days from the time the agreement is entered into, and provided further, that such agreement shall continue to remain in effect unless the board of commissioners shall cancel same. Collection of refuse from containers when the contents have been compacted to reduce the area but substantially increase the weight, the city manager is hereby authorized to assess a fee of twice the schedule of monthly charges for the size or number of containers for the number of collections per week that are provided to the customer." SECTION 2. Section 1 amends section 1 of an ordinance adopted March 24, 1953, which was last amended by Sccction 1 of Ordinance No. 68-5-71 adopted May 15, 1968. SECTION 2.
