HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 112, Ordinance Number 70-4-314ORDINANCE NO. 70-4-314 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-54 (a) OF THE CMDE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CONCERNING AUTOMATIC AND PROGRESSIVE INCREASES FOR APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2-54 (a) of the Code of Ordinances, City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section shall hereafter read as follows: "(a) From and after April 1, 1966, all appointive employees of the city, with the exception of the city manager, members of the police department, members of the fire department and switchboard operators in the fire department, shall have the following automatic and progressive increase in salary: (1) The salary of each employee with at least five (5) years of continuous service shall be increased at the rate of five dollars ($5.00) per month. (2) The salary of each employee with at least ten (10) years of continuous service shall be increased at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per month. (3) The salary of each employee with at least fifteen (15) years of continuous service shall be increased at the rate of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per month." SECTION 2. The foregoing amendment amends an ordinance providing for progressive salary increases for employees of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which ordinance was adopted March 22, 1966. SECTION 3.
