HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1119, Ordinance Number 72-8-685ORDINANCE NO. 72-5-685 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS SITUATED BETWEEN JOE CLIFTON DRIVE AND 29TH STREET, ON THE NORTHEAST SIDE, MCGUIRE AVENUE ON THE WEST SIDE, TRIMBLE STREET AND LaCLEDE STREET ON THE SOUTH SIDE AND THE NORTH LINE OF MASON STREET ON THE NORTH SIDE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of certain streets and alleys situated between the above mentioned streets and described as follows: 1. Being Mason Street located between LaClede Avenue and Ross Avenue and extending west- wardly from a point 230 feet west of Joe Clifton Drive, a distance of 394 feet to its junction with a 15 foot alley. 2. Being that portion of 29th Street located between Joe Clifton Drive and McGuire Avenue and extending northwardly from LaClede Avenue a distance of 412.50 feet to the north line of Mason Street. 3. Being that portion of McClede Avenue located between Trinble Street and Mason Street and extending westwardly from North 29th Street a distance of 270 feet more or less, to its junction with a 15 foot alley. 4. Being a 20 foot alley located between LaClede Avenue and Mason Street and extending westwardly from Joe Clifton Drive towards McGuire Avenue, a distance of 750 feet, more or less, to its junction with a 15 foot alley. 5. Being a 20 foot alley, part way, and 15 foot part way, located between North 29th Street (and North 29th Street, if extended) and McGuire Avenue and extending northwardly from Trimble Street towards Ross Avenue a distance of 930 feet, more or less, to the north property line of James H. Moore. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the streets and alleys described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
