HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1078, Ordinance Number 72-7-6691078 j ORDINANCE NO. 72-7-669 AN ORDINANCE CREATING A DRUG ABUSE COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, DEFINING ITS PURPOSE AND ESTABLISHING THE MEMBERSHIP BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That there is hereby established and created a Drug Abuse Commission for the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. The purpose of said Commission is to advise with the Mayor and Commissioners of the City of Paducah on any and all matters relating to causes and problems associated with drug abuse in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 3. Membership on the Drug Abuse Commission shall be by appointment of the Mayor, and all appointees shall serve for an indefinite period and at the pleasure of the Mayor, and the number and members shall be limited to twelve (12) at any one time. SECTION 4. The Drug Abuse Commission shall not incur any indebted- ness to be paid by the City, and the City shall not be responsible for any indebtedness incurred by the Commission without prior approval for specific expenditures as may be authorized by the Board of Commissioners or the City Manager. SECTION 5.
