HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1064, Ordinance Number 72-6-660106� ORDINANCE NO. 72-6-660 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF THOMAS FORRESTER TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 6TH AND BOYD STREETS, FOR THE SUM OF $125.00: AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Thomas Forrester (603 Boyd Street) in the amount of $125.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following described land in said city, be accepted, said land being described as follows: Being a lot at the southwest corner of 6th and Boyd Streets, fronting 42 feet on Boyd Street and extending back 96 feet along the south line of 6th Street, and as shown on page 15 of Block Map Book No. 3 in the office of the City Engineer. See Deed Book 248, page 409. Being the same land (Ray and Pearl Moody property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by deed dated May 31, 1972, and of record in Deed Book , page in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $125.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Thomas Rorrester all of the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey.
