FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Jimar Paving Company, Inc. for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, including the raising and resetting of manholes, which bid is in words and figures as follows: "We will furnish, haul, spread and compact on streets to be resurfaced, Kentucky specification Class 'I' Type 'B' bituminous concrete surface mixtures using limestone aggregate for the sum of $9.50. "We will furnish and apply bituminous tack coat SS-lh complying with highway specifications for the sum of $ .50. "We will furnish and apply ;rimer L complying with highway specifications for the sum of $ .50. "We will raise and reset the manholes for the sum of $63.00 each." Said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on May 2, 1972, and as contained in the bid of Jimar Paving Company, Inc. dated May 22, 1972. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company, Inc. for resurfacing of various streets in the City of Paducah, including the raising and re- setting of manholes, according to the terms as set out in Section 1 above and according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
