ORDINANCE NO. 72-5-643
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL PAVING COMPANY, INC.
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SITE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE MECHANICSBURG CODE
ENFORCEMENT AREA, PROJECT NO. KY -E-2, CONTRACT NO. 1, AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid
of Central Paving Company, Inc. for the construction of site improve-
ments for the Nechanicsburg Code Enforcement Project Area, Contract
No. 1, Project No. KY -E-2 in the base amount of $206,412.60, said bid
being in compliance with the bid specifications and the advertisement
for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of
Commissioners on April 11, 1972, and as contained in the bid of
Central Paving Company, Inc. tendered April 20, 1972.
SECTION 2. That the Mechanicsburg Code Enforcement Project
Executive Director, be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute a
contract with Central Paving Company, Inc. for the construction work
as authorized in Section 1 above according to the contract spedifications,
bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
Put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and
effect immediately thereafter.
