HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 99, No Resolution Number99", A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE BELLEMEADE SANITARY SEWER CONSTRUCTION FUND, CONTRACT NO. 1 IN PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK &. TRUST COMPANY TO WILEY AND LACKEY WHEREAS on May 23, 1960 the real estate firm of Wiley and Lackev made a proposal to the City for the construction of sanitary sewers and a lift station adioininr_ Blandville Road and Kennedy Road, known as Bellemeade Suhdi7ision, whereby the City was to pay the sum of$20,000.00 toward such construction, to be recovered by sewer connection fees, and Wiley and Lackey were to pay the balance, and WHEREAS such proposal was accepted by the City by resolution adopted May 24, 1960 and of record in Ordinance Book 14, page 262, and WHEREAS by ordinance adopted December 1, 1960 and recorded in Ordinance Rook 14, page 376, the contract for such sewer construction was awarded to L. E. Crolley, d/b/a Crolley Construction Company, in the amount of $33,649.3.`, and immediately thereafter an account was opened in Peoples First National Bank & Trust Company of Paducah known as "Bellemeade Sanitary Sewer Construction Fund, Contract No. 1" and the sum of 1'20,000.00 was deposited therein by the City and the sum of $13,699.35 was deposited therein by Wiley & Lackey, and WHEREAS the actual unit cost of said sewer project amounted to $32,159.£0 which was duly paid to the contractor and left in said account the sum of $1,529.55, and WHEREAS under the terms of said proposal the said Wiley and Lackey is entitled to a refund of such amount. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADU CAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager and Acting City Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to pay to Wiley & Lackey of Paducah, Kentucky, the sum of $1,529.55 from the account in Peoples First National Bank Pr, Trust Company of Faducah, known as "Bellemeade Sanitary Sewer Con- struction Fund, Contract No. 1", said amount to be in full settlement of all ohlirrations to Wiley &. Lackey in connection with the construction of sanitary sewers in 1960 and 1961 in Bellemeade Subdivision in Paducah. SECTION 2.
