ORDINANCE NO. 69-3-189
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH LULA ETHERIDGE FOR ASSISTANCE IN ASSESSING CITY PROPERTY, AND
FIXING THE DURATION AND COMPENSATION FOR SAID CONTRACT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authori?ed
to enter into a contract with Lula Etheridge for assistance in assessing
city property for a period of six months beginning from March 1, 1969
to and including August 31, 1969, for a total consideration of $1,500.00
payable at the end of each monthly period in the sum of $250.00. The
contract shall further provide for compensation at the rate of Ten
($0.10) Cents per mile for use of a private automobile in performance
of the contract work.
The cost of this contract shall be charged to the Assessor's
Office, and the Contractor shall be considered as an independent
contractor and accrue no benefits whatsoever as a city employee.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to and including
March 1, 1969.
