ORDINANCE NO. 69-3-180
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF UNITED TAILORS, INC. FOR THE
SALE TO THE CITY OF CLOTHING ITEMS FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of United Tailors, Inc. for the sale to
the City of clothing to be used by members of the Police Department,
be accepted, said bid being in the following terms and figures:
"Ike" Jackets $34.50 each
Uniform Coats 44.50 "
Winter Trousers 15.75 "
Summer Trousers 12.75 "
Shirts - Summer (white or blue) Simpson Soulette 4.75 "
Shirts - Summer (Tropical) 7.25 "
Shirts - Winter (White or Blue) Simpson Soulette 4.95 "
Shirts - Winter (Tropical) 7.95 "
(Sgt. Chevrons $1.00 per shirt extra)
Caps - Patrolmen (Winter or Summer) 5.25 "
Caps - Officers (Winter or Summer) 6.45 "
Ties - Black 1.50 "
Shoes 13.95
Holsters 7.50 "
All above items are to be made to the specifications as set out
in the resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 28,
1969, and delivery is to be made approximately six to eight weeks
after receipt of order. All prices shall be f.o.b. Louisville,
Kentucky.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to enter into a contract for the purchase of items set
out in Section 1, at times and in quantities as needed for the period
of one year from date of such contract.

SECTION 3. 'This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
